Day 41 - August 19, 2008
Steering linkage was completed. Seat mounts were completed.
Day 42 - August 20, 2008
Jason finished welding up hood. Safety net brackets were mounted. Role bar gussets were mounted. Steering wheel was reinstalled. Floor boards were patched. Seat belt mounts were mounted.
Day 43 - August 21, 2008
Trunk lid was put back on car. Front floor was painted. Rotors were removed. Jason sanded first coat of bondo on hood.
Day 44 - August 22, 2008
Terry cut rotors. Calvin made the right side dash firewall panel. Cross member was cleaned primed and painted by Paula.
Day 45 - August 23, 2008
Brake pedal was finished. Master cylinder was mounted. Gas pedal was fabricated and mounted. Front brake disks were cleaned and remounted. Seat was reinstalled. Body work on hood was finished by Jason. Transmission dip stick tube was fixed. Terry mounted slicks.
Day 46 - August 24, 2008
Hood was primed. Engine and transmission were reinstalled. Hood was painted.
Day 47 - August 25, 2008
Sway bar was clearanced inside the front jack point. Upper A-arms and upper ball joints were modified. Front suspension was installed.
Day 48 - August 26, 2008
Exhaust was installed. Drive shaft safety loop was installed. Shifter was installed. Rear interior panels were made, polished, flamed, painted, outlined, and installed. Fuel cell shield was painted. Main fuel line was installed. Fuel pump was installed.
Day 49 - August 27, 2008
Fuel filter was installed. Main fuel line was routed over rear through a piece of bent tubing. Fuel lines were connected. Carburator was bolted in place. Throttle linkage was fabricated. Brake lines were begun. Trunk latch was installed.
Day 50 - August 28, 2008
Drive shaft was installed. Brake lines were finished. Shifter linkage connected. David Nelson (Andy's brother) came up from Maryland and saw the bug for the first time.
